Roxburgh Park Community Hub is a welcoming, friendly environment within the school. The community hub works to create a culture of parent engagement, where families and community members can meet and participate in a variety of activities including playgroups, English classes, computer classes, health and fitness sessions, community information meetings and much more!
The Hub provides opportunities to learn new skills, meet new people, find out about community services and engage with the wider community. It provides great learning and employment pathways for parents to do Certificates that can lead them into the work force.
Families are invited to come join in with our fun and build healthy connections to the community and experience a genuine sense of belonging.

Playgroup: In the open playgroup children are engaged in activities that promote social emotional development and promote fine and gross motors skills. Also an opportunity to ease transition to school and to improve overall health, while also providing social and health support to parents, knowledge sharing and learning opportunities.
Cooking class: During cooking class ladies come a long and cook food from different cultures. They share recipes and share a meal together. Having a chat while cooking and they eat what they’ve cooked. They enjoy the session as they formed friendship and learn new cooking skills. It’s very informal and relaxed. Group members are a great resource to one another. They share their stories and memories about food and cooking. Many said this class remind them of when they were back in their countries.
Computer Class: We run computer class at the hub on Tuesday. Participates learn new computer skills and also opportunity to socialise and share ideas.
|English Class: We run English class every Tuesday, where participants learn and improve their English skills to be able to communicate independently, help their children with their homework and also to be able to find a job and integrate successfully in the society.|
Citizenship class: participants learn about Australian history, culture and values that will help them to pass the citizenship test and attain the Australian citizenship. Further these skills can help them to get into the workforce.
Parent’s engagement: Parents and members of the community are invited to this session to share skills with one another.
